Project Lab St. Louis
When Project Lab St. Louis was given the opportunity to develop accessible, culturally responsive informational texts for secondary students, and to do so in collaboration with students in North St. Louis County, Missouri, we were piloting both a process and a product. For the duration of the project, Krista was a key thought partner and valued co-writer as our team focused on content, tone, meaningfulness, lexile level, and other qualities of these texts. Whether writing about California wildfires, the Battle of Blair Mountain, plate tectonics, or any other subject, Krista approached the work with energy, intellectual flexibility, and talent.
